just checked out the mp3 shop. looks great, but all the trax are only available at 192 kbps. any plans on releasing songs at higher bit rate, 256 or 320? makes a big difference if you're playing these songs out.
thanks.
thanks.

Re: iboga mp3 shop
Wed, October 5, 2005 - 9:21 AMI know Saikosounds.com plans on creating a way to download lossless song files very soon. When this happens I think many of the mp3 shops will no longer be able to sell to dj's. Ipods perhaps but most dj want more then an mp3. -

Re: iboga mp3 shop
Wed, October 5, 2005 - 11:09 AMi think the sound difference between a properly ripped 320 kbps mp3 and a lossless file (e.g. wav) is virtually imperceptible. i've downloaded 320 mp3's from other online shops (digital structures for example) and played those tracks out. sounds just as good as most of the original cd's i own. 192 is a big step down in sound quality though.

Re: iboga mp3 shop
Mon, October 17, 2005 - 3:18 AMIboga also sells their catalogue on a couple other digital download stores in 320kbps...
www.beatport.com
www.xpressbeats.com
They are a bit slow to update sometimes (the CDs hit these stores usually 1-1.5 months later), but they eventually do get the new material up. Maybe we should prod Banel to be more on time with the updates. ;) -
