The second CD from Iboga Records sub label "Sofa Beats" is finally ready. This time its an album from Oliver Jones. The Project is collaboration between Oliver Bierlich and Jonas Christiansen. These two old friends jammed their brains out in the good old rock n roll days and now they reunited in this new era. Jonas “Chaz” or Jones has his electronic roots as a DJ in the house and break beat scene in Copenhagen, and adds the exterior flavour to the grooves and sounds.

Oliver Bierlich has a long discography, releasing as Reefer Decree and Oryx and with an equally long list of international live acts and DJ gigs behind him.
Now, in the common interests of having fun and expanding outside the trance scene boundaries, they join forces, and using raw samplings and live musicians they present their debut album “Picking Up The Pieces”.

Its an absolute must to have CD. A nice experimental chill and lounge CD for any occasion.

    My own opinion:
All in all quite a good release, with refreshing new sounds here and there. "Misty Mornings" stands out from the rest, awesome mood in this tune. :-)

Unfortunate circumstances has done that the Oliver Jones album - Picking up the pieces (Sofa Beats CD02) was released with a wrong tracklist printed on the cover. Heres the correct list:

      1. Intro
      2. Misty Morning
      3. Club Velour
      4. Horn Control (Jaw Control remix)
      5. Aurora
      6. Mochila (Ojos de Brujo remix)
      7. Picking Up The pieces
      8. Money in the Pocket
      9. Dynasty Dundee
      10. Benchmark Modesty
      11. 7 minutes (taken from the Reefer Decree album "Point of You")

All tracks written & pruduced by Oliver Bierlich and Jonas Christiansen.
Trompet by Rasmus Juel on track 1,2,3 and 4.
